Open Question: Looking to move outside of CA..but where?

I currently live in Garden Grove, CA (Orange County) and it is getting ridiculously expensive to live here. I've been here all my life and I'm ready for a change. I'm looking into either Arizona or Oregon since it will still be a little close to home for visits. Anyway what are the best cities to live in in Oregon and/or Arizona?? I'm looking to find a city on the outskirts of a major city..I don't want to live in the middle of nowhere but I also want to live away from traffic jams and overcrowded areas..so basically a quiet little town not too far away from a major city. Any suggestions? I would also appreciate any other state suggestions..Thanks :) I should mention that i would like to live somewhere where it is not extremely hot not extremely cold..I'm used to lovely Cali weather :)... read more
