Open Question: Why do people say that high school relationships don't last long?

My ex girlfriend moved to a new city far far from me because she found a new home, and cheaper in that area. It's Perris, CA and I live in La Habra, CA. She used to live in Garden Grove, CA. If you check on Google Maps or something you will realize this is way too far. During orientation for her new school she found a new guy. Now she broke up with me and I miss her. But I keep asking everyone I know, "give me some advice" and they just keep telling me that high school relationships don't last long. That maybe she just likes him and will eventually want to be back with you. Do you think this is true? My ex has been dating him for about a week and known him for about a month. Do you think that my wish of having her back will come true? I just have my hopes on this because everyone keeps saying that high school relationships don't last long. PS I was with my girlfriend for about 2 years and we always loved each other no matter what. Something is wrong with her and I hope its temporally. Thanks. Also i'm not talking about my relationship with her and me. I'm talking about the relationship between the guy and her. I swear we really did love each other. Is this temporarly for her to be with him? Is it normal? Is there any chance she will come back? I'm 15 years old, i'm turning 16 in November. And she's 15 as well. I am older than her though by about 6 months. And this has nothing to do with it I promise. Just mentioning this because someone asked that. I don't know where you got an almost 16 year old to be an 8th grader but I'm a Junior in High School. I'm not the typical immature kid that really doesn't know what he is doing. Trust me when I say this.... read more
